We offer an extensive range of both Thermal Transfer Labels on rolls and Direct Thermal
Labels on rolls, many of which are available from stock, in addition to our range of
fanfolded thermal labels.  Thermal labels is an area in which we have seen considerable

Thermal Transfer Labels require a ribbon which transfers print to your choice of media
when heat is applied through the print head.  You will require a foil / ribbon which is
most commonly one of two types as follows :- 

WAX Foils / Ribbons            -   For standard uncoated paper labels
WAX/RESIN Foils / Ribbons   -   For higher quality gloss or coated labels

Direct Thermal labels do not require a ribbon in order to create print on your choice
of media.  The print head applies pressure and heat to the material in order to cause
a chemical reaction to 'print' an image, (in a similar fashion to thermal fax paper).

rapidly, due to their effectiveness and ease of use.  Another factor is the proliferation
of manufacturers making machines to print thermal labels, which suit many different
budgets such as TEC, Zebra, Soabar, SATO, Citizen and Webber to name but a few.

THERMAL LABELS
Thermal labels are labels that are normally supplied on rolls or sometimes fan folded, Thermal labels are a quick and easy way for customers to print their own labels, using Thermal transfer label printers or direct thermal label printers, such as Soaber, Zebra and Datamax. Thermal transfer labels are labels that are printed using a thermal transfer ribbon or foil, usually available in semi gloss or matt white. Direct thermal labels are for use in printers that do not require a ribbon for printing, this method of printing is done thermally by use of heat, The direct thermal labels are available in a coated or standard uncoated material.
THERMAL TRANSFER LABELS
Thermal transfer labels are one of two sorts of thermal labels. Thermal transfer labels get their name due to the method of printing the labels from the type of printer. With Thermal transfer labels the printer actually uses a ribbon or a thermal foil, the image or text that the customer requires on their label is then 'transferred' from the ribbon onto the label face.
DIRECT THERMAL LABELS
Printing Direct Thermal Labels is again another sort of Thermal label printing and the second type of Thermal Label we supply, the first being thermal Transfer. Direct Thermal Labels are label that are printing using a direct thermal printer. Direct thermal printers do not use any ribbon to produce the image or text onto their labels, as the name of the product describes Direct thermal labels and printed 'direct' from the printers print head using heat directed onto the label. Direct thermal label material is very similar to fax paper which when heated produces the image.
