Achieve exceptional quality with Digital Printed Labels at low cost.

Posted by : Mercury Labels Ltd on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 in Printed Labels.

One of the best ways to enhance your products and the brand you manufacture is to have digitally printed labels. High definition and superb quality print without the heavy costs of plates when printing in full colour.

Our CMYK new digital press has a great deal to offer, as mentioned earlier, one benefit is that it cuts out the cost of print plates and without this additional cost before any printing has begun, it makes the job a whole lot cheaper and cost effective, especially for smaller orders as we do not impose any minimum order quantities. So if you need just a few labels or a few hundred for one off jobs or for small companies digitally printed labels is certainly the way to go. Digital printing your labels also offers more flexibility for a design change on any repeat orders if you require. What this means is new artwork but again no plate costs.  So if there are details that need to be added, changed or taken out, it really is as simple as an artwork amendment and away you go with no extra costs.

Once you have your artwork, the digital press which works on a computer generated image goes into action. The artwork is key, it must be high resolution, but can be supplied in various different formats such as PDF or illustrator files which are the most common file types for this sort of artwork, but again must be high resolution as this will create a much sharper image, in short the better you put in from the start the better print quality you will get out at the end. Once the continuous rolls has been printed it can then be re registered back through the press to be die cut by the plotter.

Another benefit to having your printed labels manufactured digitally is that the labels can be produced to any shape or size, thus making your finished labels ever more bespoke and personalised. As with all our labels the material finishes that we offer is endless and the digital labels range is no exception, from standard Matt white, gloss white to gloss clear labels. Again as with all our labels the adhesive we can offer are varied in strengths, from low tack, perm, right through to high tack and freezer grade.

As mentioned earlier with digital printing labels, the images you can achieve are second to none, ranging from sharp black and coloured print to full colour photo quality photo images. In addition to the quality, the finished labels can be produced very quickly as there are no plates to be manufactured, so once the artwork has been approved the goods can go on press straight to print.

Please feel free to leave your comments or get in touch if you would like any further information on having your labels digitally printed.
